Fall is here and as the leaves are changing colors, the air is becoming crisper, and families head off to celebrate Thanksgiving, I was reminded that the Pilgrims first celebrated Thanksgiving in 1621! Although it wasn't until 1863 that President Lincoln made Thanksgiving an official day of thanks, our American ancestors have always paused each year to give thanks! May we also continue to follow in their footsteps and be grateful and thankful for all of our blessings, not just because of a national holiday, but because God has truly bestowed His favor upon our great country!
